Amal Clooney in Dolce & Gabbana at the Jerry Weintraub Memorial in Los Angeles 27.09.2015

Legendary producer Jerry Weintraub, who died July 6 of a heart attack at age 77, was remembered by his closest friends Sept. 27 during a memorial at Hollywood & Highland’s Ray Dolby Ballroom followed by an afterparty at one of his favorite places — Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood.

The memorial was “the party Jerry would’ve loved,” says restaurant owner Craig Susser. “It was the perfect mix of class with a great show — the right mixture of sincerity and insincerity, which is Jerry,” he says. “The only thing missing was him.”

Amal and George Clooney marked a year of marriage in a more low-key way at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar in West Hollywood on the same evening.

An onlooker told Us Weekly magazine: “It was a lovely, quiet romantic meal, just the two of them.”

Another source said: “They stayed a few hours. They celebrated with champagne and both of them were all dressed up for the occasion. She had on a fancy dress and gorgeous jewelry.”

The couple arrived at the restaurant at 10pm and it is likely they celebrated so late in the evening as George had previously revealed he was committed to paying tribute to ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ producer Jerry Weintraub, who died in July, earlier in the day.

He said recently: “Unfortunately, I have to speak at Jerry Weintraub’s memorial. This is his last producorial way of screwing me over, that on my anniversary, I have to go to his memorial.”

  1. This is not the right reference to the clutch. Hers has more segments and more metal colors.
The colors of the referenced clutch are perfect but I like Amal’s clutch more (for this outfit). The hard black lines would not interfere with the mellow tints of her wunderful outfit …

      1. Well it looks good – but maybe you should change your avatar – unless of course you really are amal – and have been playing games with all all along! Just joking of course….

    1. Special offer for the Dress before $8,995 and now $6,927
Hi Nati – the dress costs now 6.927,00 US Dollars – not like here determined: Price : 12’500 $

      1. The only one price information that I found it is on Moda Operandi. On Neiman Marcus website the price information doesn’t appear no more. Do you have another link ? Or it is the Neiman Marcus information ?

    2. Hi Nati – I found it at Moda Operandi – but the Price has changed again.
Now it costs 5.397,00 US Dollars. The cut is a little bit different and the Dress is not pink, Kind of off-White. But please have a look.

  2. Is it bad of me that I am hoping the full-view of Amal’s dress doesn’t reveal that she has altered it to a “mini” length? The length as it is shown on the runway model is more appropriate for the memorial. Thanks for the photos, Nati.

    1. Hopefully, she was respectful and for this once – it was about someone else – as in the person who died – and was not about herself.

  3. Nati, why did you changed the theme of your blog? In my opinion the theme you had before was perfect! The theme of the previous blog was lovely with the different pictures of a smiling Amal at the very top of the “Home” page. This suited to perfection what your blog is all about: a blog dedicated to Amal’s fashion style. I am not criticizing you. After all, this is your blog, and you have the right to do whatever you want with it. I am also very aware of all the work you put into this blog, and you certainly do a terrific job, which I appreciate very much! I simply like the previous theme of your blog much better than the one you presently have. I also want to thank you for having this blog (no matter what the theme is)!

  4. Okay, I’m confused, too….why is there a picture of Amal when you are not Amal. Why not a picture of you? The lovely creator of this fantastic blog. Time to reveal the true identity of this super great blog! 🙂 🙂

  6. Has anyone else noticed the flap of skin hanging on her hand she is holding up to her chest? Is this just bad photo shopping? Its very odd. Any info? Think she is just beautiful. Thank you for the post.

      1. No it is a vein. She has one more on her left leg (sometimes visible).
Look at Angelina Jolie’s hands – the same probleme. I once read that Madonna wears gloves for the same reason.
